Hicalc V2.0 is available for download.

The new version of our popular calculator for open channel hydraulics (HiCalc) is available for download. Latest version is HiCalc V.2.0.1 (released january 2010).

HiCalv V2.0 is a major upgrade of HiCalc V1.5.1 and includes the following new fuctions:

1) Channels cross sections available:

Introduces 3 new  channel´s cross sections:

• Triangular section
• Trapezoidal rectangular section
• Rectangular trapezoidal section

Channels with general cross-sections

HiCalc now allows to solve any section channels. The most complete version of HiCalc can solve any hydraulic channel with uniform section. Example of this applications are: on-street flooding, solve any user-desing cross sectional channels, etc.

2) Now the calculation is easier and straight-forward

The calculation is more powerful, direct and easier. For instance, for uniform flow calculations allows the user to calculate any flow parameter by knowing the others. The result shows all the hydraulic parameters of interest without the need of further action by the user.

3) Export Data

Easily export all the hydraulic parameters for gradually varied flow profiles to a text file that can be easily imported into a spreadsheet template for data processing such as MS Excel

Performance requirements

HiCalc V2.0 is a software designed in Visual Basic.net and runs on Windows XP and Windows Vista. To operate the software .NET Framework 3.5 must be installed (free program distributed by Microsoft).
